B.A.Y.O is a Nigerian-born, Sudbury-based artist crafting a genre-bending sound at the intersection of Rap and Afrobeats, where African rhythms, infectious grooves and compelling storytelling meet smooth, energetic lyricism shaped by diverse musical influences, his sound bridges cultures, experiences and creative expression. Rooted in Yoruba heritage, his name B.A.Y.O carries the meaning “it is all joy when I am involved” and stands for Being Authentic Yet Outstanding—a philosophy that reflects his identity, values and commitment to creative excellence.

Grounded by God, family and purpose, B.A.Y.O approaches music as a natural extension of life rather than a pursuit of trends. His latest project, The Boy, introduces a three-part musical journey exploring how people, places, relationships and experiences shape our identities and who we become.

Driven by curiosity and inspired by the joy of creating, B.A.Y.O continues to explore sound, push creative boundaries and turn everyday experiences into music. For him, the journey is as meaningful as the music, and every song is another opportunity to discover, express and connect. The sound keeps evolving, the story keeps unfolding, and there's always room for you in it.
